Avoiding the things you need to do doesn't actually help you avoid stress.  That math test is still going to be there tomorrow.

-Trevor Romain & Elizabeth Verdick, Stress Can Really Get on Your Nerves!

A children's book is not usually a resource we'd look to for advice on stress, but Romain and Verdick have created a wonderful resource that gives children tips on how to understand, interpret, and eliminate their stress.  As adults, we can benefit from exactly the same information, for while the causes of our stress are usually different, the solutions are the same.  For example, as Romain and Verdick remind us above, procrastination does nothing for our stress, as it only delays the inevitable and sometimes even makes the stress worse.  If we skip school to miss a test, not only do we still have to take the test once we're back, but make up for all the work we missed when we were out, which multiplies our stress.  In our work, the same exact situation happens.  So don't "skip school" and attack your procrastination habits today.
