holidayrush.pngAs the holiday season approaches, it's so important to put a strong focus on sales techniques. Effectively communicating the holiday expectation with your team gets everyone on the same page. The National Retail Federation has reported there will be a continual and steady rise in consumer spending again this year. The best way for your business to take advantage of this increased spending is to be prepared. Here are three tips to improve your sales methods and make this holiday season the best ever.

  1. Deliver world class service: Regardless of the time of year, this is the single most important tip that will make the biggest impact on sales/profit. Parature.com gives some supportive statistics regarding the impact of good customer service:
    1. 70% of consumers are willing to spend an average of 13% more with companies that provide excellent customer service.
    2. 59% of US consumers would try a new brand for a better service experience.
    3. 56% of UK consumers would never use a brand again if they had a bad experience.
    4. 63% of consumers point to service as the most important factor in their choice of a brand.
    5. 15% is the customer base average American business loose annually from poor customer service.
  2. Stand out: You will strengthen your brand by underlining whatever sets you apart from your competition. During this holiday time when customers are focused on spending, you have to make your business stand out. Entrepreneurship.com explains that you can take one of two approaches: “You either draw attention to a well-known and understood pre-existing strength, or you try to define a strength that you have recently acknowledged or are creating.“
  3. More than meet the customer need: Repeat the message to your staff to focus on customer relationships and on meeting their needs with enthusiasm. Provide them with examples of going above and beyond expected service. Keep your staff excited, and they will keep the customer excited.

By focusing on these three effective methods of boosting sales, you are sure to be poised to take advantage of the most profitable holiday season yet! Happy Holidays!
