A little bit of anxiety won't kill you. You don't always have to be carefree. Worrying may heighten your awareness of a situation and point out the small problems before they become huge ones.
- Tabatha Coffey, Own It!
Stress reduction is a hugely popular topic right now (including on this very blog), and rightly so. The incredible emotional and physical benefits of stress reduction more than merit all the focus everyone is putting on it. However, sometimes, stress is actually a good thing. Some stress can help motivate us, especially when we're having trouble overcoming procrastination. And as Tabatha Coffey points out, this bit of worry might help you realize certain issues so you can handle them before they get out of control.
What's important about this bit of anxiety is focusing it and not letting it become too large or letting it stand in the way to doing what needs to be done. If you can recognize the stress when it happens and think of it as a positive, it's much easier to keep it well under control.
